This one has . Glitch waves. Hyperspace tunnels. Bass-reactive color cycles. Even the experimental "Nebula 22" preset that looks like a CRT having a seizure (in a good way).
Go to Winamp → Output plug-ins → Select “DirectSound” instead of “WaveOut.” Increase buffer to 2000ms.
The process for installing these presets was specific. The core .dll file ( dsp_ss1.31b.dll ) always went into the main Plugins folder of your Winamp directory, but the all-important preset ( .dat ) files were placed directly in Winamp's main program folder, not in Plugins .
Locate your downloaded package. Ensure you see the core library file dsp_ss131b.dll along with the .dat preset configurations. Step 2: Place in the Plugins Directory Move dsp_ss131b.dll into your media player's plugin folder.
If running on Windows 8 or later, it is recommended to run the host application (like Winamp) with admin rights to ensure the plugin operates correctly. Google Groups
These presets were allegedly curated by a user named from the now-defunct Winamp-Forums.com in 2002. He decompiled the original DLL, reverse-engineered the parameter mapping, and created a .ini override file that unlocked parameter ranges the stock UI hid from users.
