If you want to revert to the default behavior, run this command in Terminal:
Open and go to your Home folder (the one named after your user account). Press Cmd + J to open the View Options panel. Check the box next to Show Library Folder .
Open Finder → Press Cmd + Shift + . (dot) → Watch the magic happen.
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles true; killall Finder
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE; killall Finder Forces global visibility of system links Cmd + Shift + G Opens search bar to type direct hidden links
