SketchUp Classic License management requires an active internet connection to add or remove a license. The software must connect to the licensing server to verify your credentials.
You can no longer access or download models directly inside the software.
Your key will only activate SketchUp Pro 2020 and earlier versions (if compatible). It will not activate 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or later versions.

You don’t need the latest features and want to avoid recurring annual fees (currently around $399/year for Pro).
Your SketchUp Pro 2020 classic license remains valid for 2020 only. Use it as long as your OS supports it, but plan to migrate to a newer solution when you need modern features or OS compatibility.
