What lies in this book is perhaps more important as a whole rather than in its details. If you have only an hour to spend on it, it makes much more sense to read the whole book roughly in that hour than to read only the first two chapters in detail. For this reason, I have arranged each chapter in such a way that you can read the whole chapter in a couple minutes, simply by reading the headlines which are in italics. If you read the beginning and end of every chapter, and the italic headlines that lie between them, turning the pages almost as fast as you can, you will be able to get the overall structure of the book in less than an hour.
Then, if you want to go into detail, you will know where to go, but always in the context of the whole.

As Jake tries to fit in and understand his new role, he learns that the Hollows are threatening the island and the peculiars. With the help of his new friends, Jake must use his abilities to protect them and find a way to return to his own time.
Tragedy strikes when Jake finds his grandfather dying with his eyes removed, his final words urging Jake to go to "the loop of September 3, 1943". Determined to uncover the truth, Jake travels to the remote island of Cairnholm with his father. There, he discovers the ruins of the home, destroyed during a World War II air raid. However, by entering a hidden portal, Jake is transported back to the very day of the bombing in 1943. He finds the home alive and intact, inhabited by Miss Peregrine (Eva Green) and a group of children with extraordinary abilities, known as "Peculiars".
In the landscape of 2010s fantasy cinema, few films managed to capture the eerie, whimsical aesthetic of Tim Burton quite like Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children . Based on the best-selling novel by Ransom Riggs, the 2016 film adaptation brought to life a world of time loops, hollowgasts, and children with extraordinary abilities.
