This paper examines the Pixar animated film The Good Dinosaur (2015) through the lens of Albanian-subtitled distribution ( me titra shqip ). It explores how subtitling into Albanian—a language with distinct morphological and syntactic structures—affects the reception of the film’s core themes: fear, family, and survival. Using a comparative analysis of original English dialogue and existing Albanian subtitle tracks, the paper argues that while visual narration carries much of the emotional weight, the quality of subtitling significantly influences Albanian-speaking audiences’ understanding of humor, idiomatic expressions, and character development.
